Market Trading Hours
Introduction
The TOD Markets trading platform operates live “trading sessions”, which determine when traders can submit on-screen orders. This document defines the trading session times and other processes related to those sessions and orders that impact the trader.
TOD Markets will commence a morning trading session beginning on Monday, the 20th of October 2025.
Session Days and Times
TOD Markets will open on all normal trading days throughout the year. This is Monday-Friday, but excludes bank-observed public holidays.
Morning Session
TOD Markets will open a morning trading session (Effective from Monday Oct 20, 2025)
Start 10:00 AEDT
End 12:30 AEDT
Afternoon Session
TOD Markets opens an afternoon Trading session
Start 14:00 AEDT
End 16:15 AEDT
Considerations
What happens between the end of the morning session and the start of the afternoon session?
At the end of the morning trading session, traders will not be able to submit orders for the 90-minute lunch break. Brokers may facilitate trade matches during the lunch period.
Automatic Order Holding
At 5 minutes after the end of the morning session, all non-persistent “OPEN” orders will be automatically converted to a HOLD status, ensuring safety for any trader who leaves open orders on screen over lunch.
Manual Order Opening
After the start of the afternoon session, traders can manually open their held orders via the web UI or by asking our brokers to do it for them.
Managing orders outside of a trading session
Creating Orders
Outside an active session, the system will prevent open orders from being submitted. You can still create new orders, but they will default to a ‘HOLD’ status.
Updating Orders
Outside an active session, the price and quantity of held orders can be modified. Traders can also cancel held orders.

If you want to trade outside of our scheduled trading sessions, you can contact our voice brokers, who will facilitate the trade for you.
